Kaolin for Plastics & Masterbatch

In plastic compounding, mineral fillers serve two functions: reducing raw material cost by extending expensive resin and TiO₂, and adding physical properties such as stiffness, surface spacing, and brightness.

UT-WHITE hydrous kaolin, with a D50 of 4.571 µm and 80.3% ISO brightness, works as a cost-effective white mineral filler in PVC compounds, PE/PP masterbatch, and film applications. Its platey particle shape creates micro-separation between film layers (anti-blocking), and its filler-grade whiteness makes it a practical partial extender of TiO₂ in white and light-colored masterbatch. In PVC and polyolefin compounding, low oil absorption (46.8 g/100g) supports high loading while keeping melt flow workable.

  • Anti-blocking filler in PE/PP film applications
  • TiO₂ extender in white and light-colored masterbatch
  • Supports high filler loading in PVC and polyolefin compounds

Anti-Blocking Mechanism

Layer 1 Layer 2 Air Gap (No Sticking)

UT-WHITE particles create separation between film layers

Performance Characteristics

80.3% ISO Brightness

ISO brightness of 80.3% allows UT-WHITE to extend or partially replace TiO₂ in white masterbatch and light-colored compounds, reducing formulation cost.

Anti-Blocking

Platey particle shape creates micro-roughness on PE/PP film surfaces, preventing layers from sticking together during winding and storage.

Polymer Compatible

Chemically inert and easy to incorporate into PE, PP, PVC, and other common polymer systems at standard compounding temperatures.

Recommended Grades

Grades for plastic compounding and masterbatch, improving stiffness, reducing resin cost, and enhancing surface finish in PE, PP, and PVC applications.

UT-WHITE High Brightness Kaolin

UT-WHITE

UT-WHITE is a natural hydrous kaolin with 80.3% ISO brightness, ground to D50 4.571 µm using alumina ball milling to prevent iron contamination. Delivers anti-blocking performance in PE and PP film and acts as a cost-effective TiO₂ extender in white masterbatch formulations.
